Currently, the Fiscal Officer oversees and/or manages the Financial, Payroll, and Benefits Office in the township, including:


  • Responsible to Answer all Public Record Requests
  • Responsible for Obtaining/Maintaining Bonding for all Elected Officials
  • Accounts Payable - Financial,
  • Accounts Receivable - Financial,
  • Budget & Financial Plans - Financial,
  • Employee Benefits - Administrative Staff,
  • Financial Statements - Financial,
  • Property Taxes - Financial,
  • Meeting Minutes - Administrative Staff,
  • Payroll Processing - Payroll and Benefits,
  • Record Retention - Financial,
  • Receiving and Completing Public Records Requests,
  • Day to Day financial management,
  • Maintain all Public Records for the Township,
  • Posting of Minutes and Resolutions on the Township Website,
  • Updating " Ohio Checkbook " Portal for Public Review,
  • Any other Responsibility that is required under the Ohio Revised Code
  • THE OHIO CHECKBOOK PROGRAM - Financial
  • Investment of Funds Fixed Assets
  •  Levies, Mill age & Property Taxes

The Township Fiscal Officer's office, is located in the Jefferson Township Government Center.

The Township Fiscal Officer is elected to a four-year term and the position is classified as part-time with full-time responsibilities.
