The Jefferson Township substation is located within the Patrol Headquarters building, at 555 Infirmary Road, Dayton, OH 45427, telephone (937) 225-4144. Jefferson Township is a community consisting of 44 square miles and populated by 8,652 residents. Jefferson Township is a diverse residential community with both commercial and agricultural businesses. Jefferson Township contracts with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for full-time, 24 hours per day police coverage and services.

Captain Flagg joined the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in 1996 as a corrections officer. He attended the Sinclair Basic Police Academy and was promoted to deputy sheriff in 1998. As a deputy, he worked as a community-oriented police officer and then as an evidence technician. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2003. 

As a sergeant, Captain Flagg worked as a supervisor in the jail and in court security. In 2011, he was assigned to the Forensic Services Unit where he oversaw the crime scene unit, Traffic Services, Civil Process, Environmental Crimes unit, and handled the administrative duties for District 7 in Jefferson Township. He was promoted to his current rank in May of 2018 and oversees District 7 in Jefferson Township, the RANGE Task Force, and the Miami Valley Bulk Smuggling Task Force.

Captain Flagg is a graduate of Fairborn high school. He earned an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Sinclair Community College. Captain Flagg holds a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia Southern University in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Public University.
