To promote trust, transparency, and safety by serving as the bridge between Jefferson Township residents and law enforcement and community safety partners.

What We Do

The Public Safety Liaison works closely with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to ensure timely communication, share resident concerns, and follow up on enforcement actions or investigations. While the Liaison does not replace law enforcement, they serve as a consistent point of contact to help residents navigate the process and resolve safety issues collaboratively. The Public Safety Liaison works to support safer communities through proactive engagement and responsive action. Services include:

Responding to Safety Complaints
  1. Investigate community concerns about noise, nuisances, threats, or safety hazards -Coordinate with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Township Code Enforcement to resolve issues.
  2. Mediating Neighborhood Disputes - Facilitate peaceful resolutions to ongoing disputes or conflicts that affect public safety.
  3. Tracking Law Enforcement Referrals -Follow up on cases submitted to law enforcement to ensure clear communication and transparency for residents.
  4. Hosting Community Safety Events -Lead township forums, town halls, and training sessions to educate residents on safety protocols, legal updates, and prevention tools.
  5. Policy Development & Data Reporting - Support safety planning and grant funding efforts using citizen-reported data and state best practices.
