Currently, the Fiscal Officer oversees and/or manages the Financial, Payroll, and Benefits Office in the township, including:
- Responsible to Answer all Public Record Requests
- Responsible for Obtaining/Maintaining Bonding for all Elected Officials
- Accounts Payable - Financial,
- Accounts Receivable - Financial,
- Budget & Financial Plans - Financial,
- Employee Benefits - Administrative Staff,
- Financial Statements - Financial,
- Property Taxes - Financial,
- Meeting Minutes - Administrative Staff,
- Payroll Processing - Payroll and Benefits,
- Record Retention - Financial,
- Receiving and Completing Public Records Requests,
- Day to Day financial management,
- Maintain all Public Records for the Township,
- Posting of Minutes and Resolutions on the Township Website,
- Updating " Ohio Checkbook " Portal for Public Review,
- Any other Responsibility that is required under the Ohio Revised Code
- THE OHIO CHECKBOOK PROGRAM - Financial
- Investment of Funds Fixed Assets
- Levies, Mill age & Property Taxes
The Township Fiscal Officer's office, is located in the Jefferson Township Government Center.
The Township Fiscal Officer is elected to a four-year term and the position is classified as part-time with full-time responsibilities.
